Description
Maple is a vast structure in London’s Tottenham Court Road. First designed by Richard Seifert in 1973, its office spaces have been recently renewed by developer Lazari. Its environmental graphics stem from ’T-shaped’ granite segments that clad the building's faces. These brutalist forms prompt signature typography and pictograms—faithful to Maple’s past, yet flexible enough for its future. Led by contrasting horizontal and vertical strokes, these visual languages slot architecturally into the space as a family of custom-drawn type forms, pictograms, and diagrammatic directories.
