The Stiftung Buchkunst critically monitors German book production. The “Most Beautiful German Books” – exemplary in design, concept and workmanship – are awarded prizes every year by an independent jury. Inspired by colorful papers, we created a vibrant register for the six chapters. A classic serif typeface in three sizes emphasizes clarity, keeping the focus on the jury's insightful—and sometimes humorous—comments. The linen cover offers a tactile experience, highlighting the value of print in a digital world. Our catalogue design honors tradition while exploring new creative possibilities.
