Ford challenged EV range anxiety with Charge Around the Globe, making history as the first solo circumnavigation of the world in an EV. Inspired by Aloha Wanderwell, who in the 1920s became the first woman to drive around the world - in a Ford - social media travel creator Lexie Limitless took on the challenge in the Explorer. Over 200 days, 6 continents, & 30,000+km, she crossed the world while overcoming charging obstacles and posting it all on Instagram, TikTok & YouTube, earning +200M views. The journey was captured in a documentary series on Prime Video, earning global media attention.
