Millions of users panicked, thinking that their account had been hacked, or that they had been scammed. But when they opened it, all that anguish turned into joy. It turns out that the notification took them to the map inside the app that usually tracks the order. But this time, it was directly linked to real time data that tracked the flight that brought the champions together with the World Cup Trophy to the country. With just a push notification, the day that Argentina’s national team and Messi both had reached the greatest glory, PedidosYa had more mentions than both of them, becoming the #1 trending topic. We had a reach of more than 25 million (more than half the country) and achieved more than 49 million views. It was the most viral World Cup brand action. And all with 0 dollar investment in media.
