Hope
About the Work Hope was directed by James Rouse and produced by Blur for the Spanish agency Sra. Rushmore and the International Committee of the Red Cross. This spot was shot in many locations around Lebanon, with Alexandre Melman under the direction of Photography and Marianna Taouk under the Art Direction. In aim of raising awareness about the current situation in conflict zones, the International Committee of the Red Cross does this by communicating the importance of health care in conflict zones, where hospitals and health workers are constantly being attacked, disregarding any war rules and thus, leaving no hope. Through a cinematographically look and a color palette that goes in accordance to the surroundings, this powerful spot transmits an emotional grief that increases as the spot goes on, creating a feeling of desperation that keeps our attention at all times.
