Background: This spot showcases the best Netflix has to offer! The ad follows a woman in a board meeting as she is thrown into the world of Netflix. She is depicted seamlessly going in, out, and through all the different worlds of the Netflix shows that we know and love. Quick, punchy transitions between scenes heighten the energy, creating a dynamic flow that mirrors the diversity of Netflix’s offerings. It’s a bold, vibrant celebration of the platform’s ability to immerse us in countless stories, leaving viewers captivated and ready to hit play. Creative Idea: This spot is an unpredictable teaser showcasing the wild world of Netflix. This spot reference’s Netflix’s new 25 films and shows creating a continuous journey that mimics the feeling of getting lost in a great story. Insights & Strategy: The strategy of this advert was to provide not only an advert but an invitation to explore Netflix. This was executed through creating sound that was original and engaging whilst also reminiscent of the memorable Netflix shows referenced in this spot. To create this innovative sound we worked closely with Netflix to curate all bespoke audio elements, with the exception of one, from scratch. Execution: The journey through Netflix’s different entertainment titles is tied together by razor-sharp editing and custom sound design. All sound and audio elements were created specifically for the film with the exception of the Demogorgon (Stranger Things). Throughout the process, we worked closely with Netflix making sure the sound for each world was correct and truthful to the shows. A main challenge was to piece each scene together so the mix flowed throughout the spot. The result was a narrative brought to life and a spot with filmic qualities. Results: The result of this quick, punchy, and engaging spot is not only a seamless exploration into the world of Netflix but an engaging and trailblazing teaser for the entertainment the platform has to offer. One that deploys exceptional attention to detail whilst also illustrating Netflix’s cultural impact and domination in creating so many memorable shows.
